I follow up by adding the various shadows, as well as using the
Gradient Fill on the backgrounds of certain panels to make them look a little better. I should
note I don't use layers when I add the shading; I make the changes directly on the image and
then save it as a seperate file, so I have several copies: the original unedited page and then
this version. Actually by the time the whole process is over, I have about four different files
for each comic page, all from various steps of the process. This is just in case I might need an
untouched copy later.
Layers would make it much easier to make changes later, but with this much shading that ends
up being a LOT of layers and I find it easier to do it this way. I save a copy under a folder
called "Computer Shaded."
